Doves shot upwards
Snowfall in reverse
Confetti burst
the groom, and his groom
fine handsome catch
every bit his match
waiting on a promise,
all dolled up and fine
forever be mine
Vows are made
Doves are flown
Fizz all downed
Rings exchanged
Dance in dreams
flowergirl screams
(Too much cake. Allowed a sip of fizz
Parents, parents, why d’you do this?)
hand in hand and
husbands now
one last vow
wedding day done
cake’s crumbs,
Listen, grooms:
It begins now.

Oh man, that’s a stroopwaffel, right? Oh man. Or alternatively, a flat cap. The ones what they wear Oop North. It’s a penguin in a Hovis ad!
To be fair, the penguin seems more interested in its little fishie. More biscuits for me!

What I’ve been reading – Lemon Cake by Kess Martin
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Cute MCs, in a straight-to-gay type romance that isn’t clearly flagged up as such from the beginning. Friends to lovers which is something I always appreciate, and they were sweet together. The real star of the show was the cake, though, positively edible descriptions of it bordering on food porn. The hottest most delicious thing in the story! Do not read while hungry!
